(H) Type Rating Course Description

The type rating course includes all the flight training and theoretical knowledge required for a helicopter license holder to safely and efficiently fly a new aircraft type.

Experienced instructors will guide the trainee through normal and emergency procedures and provide in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems.

Süre

The duration of a full course is three to five weeks, but this can be shortened for pilots with similar type ratings or upon the applicant's request.

Giriş Öncesi Gereksinimler

Initial AW 109 / BELL 430 (ITR) type rating application

  • Hold a valid Helicopter Pilot Licence.
  • Have passed the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge examinations; or hold a certificate of completion of a pre-entry course provided by an ATO. The course will cover the following subjects of the ATPL(H) theoretical knowledge course:
    • Aircraft General Knowledge: airframe/systems/powerplant and instrumentation/electronics
    • Flight Performance and Planning: mass and balance, performance
  • For applicants who have not completed an integrated ATPL(H)/IR, ATPL(H) or CPL(H)/IR training course, have completed 70 hours of flight time as pilot-in-command on helicopters.
  • Comply with the requirements specified in SHT-FCL Subpart H Part 1 and 3.
  • Hold a medical certificate.

AW 109 / BELL 430 (ATR) Type Rating Application

  • Must hold a valid Helicopter Pilot License.
  • Must hold a Multi-Engine Turbine Helicopter Pilot Type Rating.
  • Must comply with the requirements specified in SHT-FCL Subpart H, Parts 1 and 3.
  • Must hold a medical certificate.

Type Rating Instructor (TRI) Course Description

The aim of this course is to provide adequate training on ground and flight instruction techniques based on established instructional methods to the candidate. The Type Rating Instructor (TRI) Training Course enhances safety awareness by instilling knowledge, skills, and attitudes relevant to the TRI duty and is designed to adequately train the candidate instructor in theoretical knowledge instruction and flight instruction. This training enables the candidate instructor to instruct others on the AW 109 / BELL 430 type, for which they are qualified.

Süre

The full course length is three weeks, but this may be reduced for pilots already holding FI (H) and TRI (H).

Başvuru Öncesi Koşullar

For an AW 109 / BELL 430 Type Rating Instructor (TRI) candidate:

  • Must hold a valid pilot license.
  • Must have completed 500 hours as a helicopter pilot, including 100 hours as pilot-in-command on single-pilot multi-engine helicopters.
  • Must possess a valid medical certificate in accordance with SHT-MED and PART-MED.
  • Must have a proficiency in Turkish or English sufficient to follow aviation publications and course curricula.
  • Must hold a medical certificate.

Difference Education Course Description

A Difference Training Course includes all the flight training and theoretical knowledge required for a helicopter license holder to safely and efficiently fly a helicopter variant.

  • Must possess a valid Helicopter Pilot License.
  • Must possess a valid AW 109 variant Type Rating.
  • Must comply with the requirements specified in SHT-FCL Subpart H Part 1 and 3.
  • Must possess a medical certificate.

Instructor Refresh Seminar Description

Recurrent training for the renewal of FI/TRI certificates shall be in the form of a seminar. The seminar shall last for at least 2 (two) days (1 day = 6 (six) hours) for FI / at least 1 (one) day (1 day = 6 (six) hours) for TRI, and participants shall be required to attend the entire seminar, including workshops and practical exercises.

Exam Invigilator Standardization and Refresher Training Description

The purpose of the courses is to provide applicants with the necessary knowledge and instruction. This knowledge and instruction shall, as a minimum, include:

  1. (1) the applicable requirements of FCL SUBPART K and applicable air operations...
  2. (2) national administrative procedures...
  3. (3) the examiner of the competent authority...
  4. (4) these national procedures when required...

Kursun Süresi

  • For FE and FIE: at least 1 day, divided into theoretical and practical training;
  • For TRE: at least 3 days, comprising theoretical training (1 day) and actual or simulated proficiency checks...
