Frequently Asked Questions
What determines the rental prices?
For private flights, operational details are used as the basis instead of a fixed price list. The main factors determining the pricing are; the distance of the flight route, the type of aircraft chosen (light, medium or large-bodied jet/helicopter), the duration of the flight, airport landing and take-off taxes, and additional ground services requested by passengers.
How long before the flight do I need to be at the airport?
One of the biggest advantages of private aviation is that it saves time. Thanks to private terminals (FBOs), passport and customs procedures are completed very quickly. Usually, arriving at the terminal just 15-20 minutes before your flight is enough to complete the procedures and board the aircraft.
Can I fly anywhere I want?
Airplanes and helicopters can land at many local and small airports where scheduled flights are unavailable. Jets can access all airfields with suitable runway lengths, while helicopters can reach any location with a suitable surface and landing permission (hotel helipads, private properties, etc.). Our flight crew will pre-check the technical feasibility of your route for you.
May I travel with my pet?
Yes, your pets can travel with you in the cabin on private jet and helicopter flights. All that's required are the necessary documents (passport, vaccination record, etc.) to ensure their comfort and safety. Crate requirements may vary depending on the aircraft type and security procedures; simply mention this when making your reservation.
Can I request special meals or services during the flight?
Absolutely. Private flights offer more than just standard menus. You can communicate any gourmet catering request in advance, from your dietary preferences (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) to a meal from your favorite restaurant. Additionally, extra services such as meeting arrangements in the cabin, celebration decorations, or a dedicated service crew are also provided.
Is private jet rental calculated per seat?
No, in private aviation, the entire aircraft is reserved. The total charter cost does not change, whether there is one person or a full capacity of passengers on board. This offers an advantage, especially for group travel, as the per-person cost can approach the business class fares of commercial airlines.
What is an "Empty Leg" flight and how does it affect pricing?
If an aircraft returns to its main base empty after dropping off a passenger at their destination, or flies empty to a pickup point to collect a passenger, this is called an "Empty Leg". These flights can be offered at discounts of 50% to 75% off standard charter prices, provided you can adapt to the existing route.
What are the "extra" costs not included in the rental price?
Generally, the flight offer includes fuel, crew, and standard ground services. However, items such as requests for high-quality luxury alcoholic beverages, special limousine transfers, satellite phone/high-speed internet usage fees during the flight, and de-icing (de-icing) procedures, which are mandatory for flight safety in winter, are usually billed afterward.
How do waiting periods and accommodation fees work?
If the aircraft takes you to a destination and brings you back a few days later, a "daily wait fee" and crew accommodation expenses are added to the cost for each day the aircraft waits there. For long stays, it may sometimes be more economical for the aircraft to return empty to base and then come back to pick you up; our operations team will calculate the most cost-effective scenario for you.
Is a refund issued in case of cancellation?
Cancellation terms in private flight contracts vary depending on how much time is left until the flight. Generally, cancellation penalties increase as the flight time approaches. However, flexible cancellation policies may apply in cases of force majeure or operational impediments. It is important to review the "Cancellation Policy" clauses in the contract you approved during booking.
